What you can do now to start your hair growth journey.
Let’s be real — most of us want thicker, longer, stronger hair. And while your girl loves a good serum (hi 👋🏼), there’s also a lot you can do at home to support hair growth before you even hit “add to cart.”
Here are a few easy, low-effort habits you can start now.
BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH: Brushing from roots to ends does more than just smooth things out. It actually stimulates blood flow to the scalp, which helps feed your follicles. Bonus: it spreads your natural oils down the hair shaft, which means healthier ends. Use a paddle or boar bristle brush and take your time with it — think self-care, not ripping through tangles in traffic
WASH MORE: I know the internet says to stretch your washes, but hear me out. If your scalp is oily, flaky, or packed with dry shampoo buildup — your hair follicles can’t breathe. A clean scalp = a healthy scalp = better hair growth. You don’t need to wash daily, but 2–3x a week is a solid place to start.
Use a Scalp Shampoo Brush: These little tools are game-changers. They help lift product buildup, exfoliate the scalp, and — you guessed it — stimulate blood circulation. Use one in the shower with your shampoo and scrub gently in circular motions. Bonus: it feels amazing
Don’t Sleep in a Bun the Size of a Small Planet: We’ve all done it. But super tight buns can cause tension on your scalp and hairline. Switch to a low braid or loose scrunchie if you want to tie it up overnight, but my absolute favorite is a silk bonnet.
